OMG.. I am sorry I haven't updated. I have been bogged down with a bunch of other stuff and barely scrapped anything in the past 2 weeks.. Right now I sit here with Photoshop open but thats it, I have done nothing in it all day..
I do have a freebie for you, but I will get it up on Wed morning..

I do have pictures to share.. My oldest graduated kindergarten last week.. It was so cute.. The paper caps they gave them (with yarn tassels) were mass made so they were too small or just right for most of the kids, but Nics was too BIG during all there dances his kept falling off. It was so cute to watch him rush to get it back on and try not to miss a beat..

Like I said yesterday, I had to babysit to day and OMG, this girl is just the cutest little thing.. She is 2 and oh so sweet and polite, I can't wait till next week when I start her full time.. I have a new scrapbooking subject.. YAY... Jakob gets along with her so well too. It was nice to have a stress free day because he was occupied with someone else.. I was actually able to get a lot done around the house.. Gary was shocked when he came home, he thought he was in the wrong apartment for a min.. lol
ok.. on to the next matter of business..

Sorry I haven't gotten your freebie to you yet.. I am going to work on it tomorrow and hopefully it will be up by Wednesday. I start a babysitting job next Monday, but I have to little girl for a few hours tomorrow, so that will cut into my computer time..

I am working on a kit, just to get some done and under my belt so that in a few months I can start looking for a new store to sell at.. Don't worry we will still be doing the readers choice freebie kit, I will put that info up when I get the freebie up.

I was supposed to get my other computer fixed today, so I didn't get your freebie up.. Well the guy had something come up so he said he will come by tomorrow morning some time and fix it. I have to teach Art to Nics kindie class tomorrow morning and that will take a few hours because of the way we are doing it.. His teacher and I talked and instead of teaching the whole class at one time I am going to take a few into the kindergarten POD (middle) room and do it that way, so they don't get so distracted..
But I promise I will get the freebie up after all that is said and done..
I also made a boo boo on the readers choice so we will be starting that over.. I want to start with themes instead of colors.. Sorry..
Oh also.. as you can see I made a few changes to my blog too.. I added a translater, some top sites and a mailing list so you can see when I update..

New Weekly Freebie and Readers Choice

I am trying to get into the routine of a freebie every week. If I am a little late I am sorry, things here haven't been easy these past few weeks.. New this week.. A butterfly template. She is taking them to Disneyland, and I think I might go to, I have decided yet, but it would be great to finally go.. Then Gary and I are meeting a few of his friends, then driving back here to AZ where on Saturday my best friend comes into town (business trip) but I will finally see here, its been a year.. playing catch up and a freebie

In my last post I mention this thing called Blog It or Lay It Out that we have over at the DSO forums. Well there is a new one posted everyday and I told myself I was going to do them all. So here I am playing catch up..

What was your favorite childhood past time? Did you do it alone of with someone?
My favorite past time was spent with my Uncle Don.. My mom didn't like him very much and didn't want him around me, but he would sneak over after I got out of school (before mom came home from work) and we would sit on my front porch and talk about everything. He told me our talks kept him going day by day.. But I guess they weren't enough after a while, he committed suicided when I was a freshman in high school. He was my best friend and my big brother (he was only 7 yrs older than me and hated the though of being an uncle, told everyone I was his baby sister) I am not made at him for what he did because I know that he is in my heart and will always be there to listen to my problems.

Describe your childhood bedroom...
hmm.. My bedroom was nothing much.. The first one I can barely remember except that it had bunk beds and I shared with my sister. After my grandma passed when I was 8 we moved into her house (dads childhood home) and I finally had my own room. It had white walls, teal border, white dresser and bed with teal drawers on both (bed and dresses) and a white entertainment center, with a TV, VCR, and RADIO. I had a 3 foot care bear till my mom throw it out (I am still made about) that was then replaced with a 3 foot tweety, my nephews father got me as a birthday present while he was dating my sister (which I think my mom through out or gave to my cousin), umm I had a phone, I won't describe, I went through 10 different ones.. the main thing I do remember was.. IT WAS A MESS!!! No one understood that even though you couldn't see the floor, in my own weird way it was organized, I knew where every little thing was.. lol

Where did your dad go to work everyday when you were a kid, and what did he do?
From the time I was a baby till I was about 8 (or maybe 10) my dad was a truck driver, whether it was in state or cross country, I still remember riding in the trucks with him, I would sit on the steps on the day he came up from cross country trips and wait for my ride, we would take the truck to the park n ride (city wanted them parked there now on side streets) and then walk back home together. After that I remember he went to work for a heating and air conditioning company till he moved to Alaska, when I was 16.

What did your mom do when you were a kid, was she a SAHM or did she work?
As a baby she was a SAHM, but then went to work at Pathmark (grocery store), she also worked at Dunkin Donuts for a few years (while still at Pathmark) to this day she is still at Pathmark.

Did you have a special hideaway or playhouse as a child? What did it look like?
My friends and I had the same hideaway.. Across the street (behind my friends house) were woods, it had a nice clearing (where the boys went dirt biking) but there were a lot of other areas that were covered. We would all go hide out in there when ever we had a problem, it was nice, no one but the few friends knew where to find us, so it gave us the time to think and calm down.

Recall some of the MOST important lessons you have learned in life.
hmm.. I think the most important one was to stop living in the past.. A wise man once said
"Stop looking at the past, it only causes you hurt, look at the future and ways to make it better for you"
Share a special poem or writing passage that has special meaning in your life...

Umm.. those boxed meals.. but since then cooking as evolved to actually cooking.. lol.. tonight we are having a steak pot pie made by ME (with the help of a recipe of course)

umm.. when I get my license we will come back to this one lol

What was your favorite pet growing up? Why was it your favorite?
My favorite pet.. hmm I had 3..
1. Dog - Oreo Cookie Ice Cream (named by my dad, he likes names like that).. We called her Oreo for short, but she did look like the ice cream. She was great to play with, we kept her at my grandmothers, and she was always happy to see me. I came went to my grandmothers one day and she wasn't there, she had puppies and we couldn't keep her anymore, my dad didn't want to separate her and the puppies, so they found a farm that would take them all.. Now I know most times when parents say the animal went to the farm it means they died, but I know she didn't, I was taken to the farm to see her a few times, and she was happy and healthy..

2. Cat - My mom got this cute cat from a guy she works with.. OMG.. I feel in love the second I laid my eyes on him.. He was different, unique.. He was all grey, would eat anything you gave him, he favorite was sneaking potato chips.. His name was Tailless.. Can you guess why?? The poor little guy was born without a tail, but he was just soo cute..

3. Bird - Ignats - Iggy for short.. She was a Conjure my dad bought for me and my mom, she was supposed to be my moms birthday present, but mom and me got into a car accident on that day, so my dad gave it to both of us.. She wasn't supposed to talk, but my gawd, that little thing had a mouth on her.. She learned to repeat everything that was said around the house.. which wasn't always a good thing.

ok.. I think I will stop for now.. There are a lot more to catch up that I will get to tomorrow..

Todays question is :
Did you have a nick name growing up? How did you get it?

Besides the obvious one (Princess - from daddy), there were plenty of names and I can't remember why I was given them all, but these 2 are my fondest.
1. Small Fry.. My dads cousin Tony would call me this when ever he saw me.. the last time I saw him I was 18 and he still called me that.. I don't think he will ever realize that I have grown up, but thats one of the things I love about him..

2. Boo (which I still use) I don't remember how it started but my uncle (who was more like a big brother (only 7yrs older than me)) started calling me that, and after his suicide when I was 15, I swore no one would ever call me that again, but then as time passed I realized that it was a memory that I didn't want to lose, so now 10 yrs later I let people call me that again and every time I hear or read it I smile and think of him..

Yes I am actually updating, and its a real update.. lol

Things have been hectic, but now that the holidays are over they are slowing down..
We had a GREAT Christmas, not much for presents, but the boys got enough to make them happy.. They got Star Wars Transformers (Santa), Star Wars Light Sabers from Grandma, Star Wars Figures from Nana.. Do you see a pattern here, they are only 3 and 6 yrs old and totally obsessed with Star Wars.. Daddy and Mommy got Nic a Rescue Heroes Command Center, and JJ the Shake and Go race Track and a Lighting McQueen car to go on it with his Mater.. They also got Ice Age and Cars DVD's (Popeye and Porky Pig movies too).
Gary and the boys got me an I POD Shuffle (mini), Pirates of the Caribbean 2, and the new Garth Brooks DVD Tin.
Gary didn't want me to buy anything, so I told him to take $50 dollars and get him something he wanted, so along with the money from my mom, his mom, and my grandpa, he has over $200 to spend..
We went to Gary's friends for the day, so that was nice, the boys played with there little girl, and we all just sat around and talked, played games and of course picked on the guys.. lol
Well enough about my life.. lol..

Now onto the FREEBIE

How was everyones Halloween?

Ours was great. We took the boys to a neighborhood over by where my oldest (5yrs) goes to school at. We were only out for about an hour and a half because Nic started saying he didn't feel good. In that small amount of time though we managed to come home with 9 pounds of candy.. Yes I did put it all in one bag and weigh it on my bathroom scale.. LOL

Well since the stores are starting to show signs of it, I guess I should too.. Here is a new freebie for you all.. Please let me a comment about it, I spent over 6 hours working on him (not all at one time though) so I would really like to know what you all think.

Wow. What a weekend!! As you know Friday was a good day, I started selling over at Some Bunnys Scraps! Saturday started out good, I woke up to find an email from Bunny saying 2 of my templates sold, of course I was happy!! I just wish my mood would have stayed that way, later that night and through Sunday led to some major fighting between me and the hubby.. So of course my mood was shot. Here we are on Monday morning at 5am and I can't sleep. I went to bed last night at 11:45pm, and woke up every hour before I decided at 3:50am to just get up, and here I sit.
The good news is I was able to get some scrapping done. A freebie for you and something for the store. So unless you want to me to continue to babble on about me and the hubby (which I don't think you do) here is your freebie
